I'm not sure this really belongs here, but here's my take on Rocky Germain. It's 🍫- Magical Realism, I guess. Rocky Germain is a big guy with a soft heart. He likes helping people, though not always as they might expect.

Thank you! Your's and Evelyn's versions were epic - and all three so very different! I wonder if there is a real "Rocky Getmain" around, and what he or she would think of the stories.

Thanks for organising!!

Here's my dystopian 🔥 short story, "Post Tenebras Lux":

Xiawa Adamson has served the island of Lyis for decades, seeking to remedy the effects of the Darkness -- but have her efforts borne the fruit she hoped for?

A complex and interesting take on the first line. I hope to learn of more stories of Rockys in the future

Thank you! Who knows, I wrote it as a one-off but I might revisit this world sometime!

That's a slippery slope I've fallen down so many times 🤦‍♀️

I just googled "Rocky Germain," and apparently there are several real life people going by that name. Should we tell them about this so they can see their imaginary lives? 😎

I hope they'd enjoy that!

I wrote one! Partly because I saw only Caitriana had shared one and I wouldn't like to think of her or her story being here all on its lonesome.

Partly because I wanted to set myself a little challenge, namely give myself just this afternoon to write a story, and obviously partly because I love little prompts to inspire me and this one definitely got my brain going.

I wouldn't want to say too much about it because otherwise that would spoil the laugh-out-loud joke which comes in after about 100 words. But it is highly humorous sci-fi and it features a demon AI. It's just shy of 2,000 words, so isn't a long read.

I hope you very much enjoy it: https://open.substack.com/pub/inadifferentplace/p/game-of-drones?r=2s9hod&utm_campaign=post&utm_medium=web&showWelcomeOnShare=true

What a fun ride! Great take a Rocky Germaine. I really enjoy seeing how one line can go in many different directions

Thank you! I do love writing these humorous sci-fi stories as I get to have a wide grin on my face the whole way through! My Unofficial Katy stories are similar.

i couldn't get into this one because i just kept thinking of Ricky Gervaise and it ruined all my sci fi and stuff. good luck to all of you!

Lol. I did have a little of that problem myself. The number of times I had to correct the name from an 'i' to an 'o'...

Perhaps that's why I instinctively went for the comedy option.
