1. what does (ON HOLD) first chapter... mean... does it mean you cannot submit a first chapter as the entry?
2 are the prompts seperate or does the submission have to be based off the prompts and can you do two submissions ... one for awards and one for the prompts?
Hey Nick, thanks for your enthusiasm and your questions. The Lunar Awards is only taking short stories at this time. First chapters are not being considered. I'm still deciding how the first chapter rounds might go, but until then, they are on hold. As for the prompts, they are optional to help with story ideas. Only one submission per round. Let me know if you have any other questions!
Okay I published this on Substack on January 10th because kindle Vella shut down — magical realism yes, but I don’t know if it meets the publication date rules?
Yay - cheers Winston - it was just on time - UK time - anyway - sorry so last minute and thank you again for running this and taking the baton. I find fantasy a real challenge.... its not really my strong suit I think.
Here's my entry, which was partially inspired by the Many Moons prompt, with some Bloodborne and Napoleonic warfare thrown in for good measure. I put the word count at the bottom to make it easy on you judges.
DOUBLE PLUS EXCITE.
can I ask
