Many of you stretched your creative muscles with this prompt, and amid the busyness of life you managed to get words written. We gather to share today, but the discussion thread will remain open should you decide to try your hand at the prompts in the future. Come back and add a link to your story. Even if the fire grows cold, we still maintain our burning desire to read good speculative fiction.
I thought about this prompt and quickly realised that it would be a great way to introduce/entice some people to my Katrina story, which is full of people keeping secrets from each other. Katrina turns up at the British Embassy in Paris claiming to be from a parallel world. Obviously they don't believe her, the intelligence officers get suspicious, especially when they see the CCTV footage (now you don't see her, now you do), and a psychologist inevitably gets involved.
So this scene, mostly dialogue, is between Katrina and Malcolm, the psychologist. Mal has a tentative diagnosis, which he is about to present to her. She, however, is somewhat reluctant to accept that explanation.

In terms of genre, it's a bit of a mixture/hybrid, as it does have elements of conspiracy spy thriller. But at its heart it's a spec fic dystopian story. 👽🔥
