I'm on a bit of a quest to get my first proper paid subscriber, so I thought I would go back to when I was first here on Substack and present you with part 1 of a 6 part fun, dry-humour-esque, sci-fi adventure set a few hundred years after the Rapture in which the survivors live on huge rotating space stations. This is a bit of a crossover as it has an offbeat version of Katrina in it too (in flashbacks). There's great 50s esque goodies and a great baddie, and a few demons thrown in for good measure. The first chapter is free, so I am attempting to entice people to consider going paid to read the rest of it. I have nothing to lose, after all. It's called The End of Space Station Fifteen. Try it...
So I write encyclopedia chapters about a world called "Fistbump the Sky." I'm currently releasing a series of posts about the different species and their biology.
"Omegavores was what the news called them—back before the broadcasts stopped. An omnivore would eat anything, but the Shifters ate everything. Down to the last morsel."
"Strange Turkey" is a post-apocalyptic holiday story about survivors braving the wilds in search of a Thanksgiving dinner. It's a little The Walking Dead, a little Michael Crichton. Come check it out:
In which Agent Jen and the EDC 717th received their most personal mission yet: the betrothal of Lt. Francisca Skye. Expect romance, intrigue, floating castles, and neo-feudalism.
Patricians of Senta, Part 1: Operation Domestic Goose
I couldn't finish Stephen King's "The Gunslinger", so I wrote my own weird western about a gaucho of Spanish descent, aimlessly wandering the desert until he finds out the child he thought that was murdered by demons (along with his wife) may actually still be alive. The literal woman of his dreams teams up with him on a desperate adventure against time (and the bad guys chasing them) to find the child before they're caught.
The Spaniard is an EOW posting, and we're getting to the end soon:
In a world where anyone can compose a symphony, the scarcest resource is someone who can still be moved by one. Meet the greatest of his generation, and learn his fate.
When a painting with disturbing properties and a horrifying pedigree is discovered in a remote cabin, art professor Baylor Craft is recruited to help a clandestine team of specialists solve its dark mysteries.
If you Black Mirror you’ll like my story KILL KILL KILL. It is a speculative look at AI automation for weapons. It’s a little bit funny and def a bit dark. I would argue that you could argue a ghost exists in this story as well:
On the desolate frontier world of Vrysh, Melroon Darby and his son must track down and confront the strange creature that's been killing their prize stegosauruses.

"Velvet Dreams" follows the exploits of a homeless man who gets a little more than he bargained. The story pads in a more light-hearted direction with an unexpected twist at the end.
Pitch: Awakened in the dark in an enclosed space with only silence to keep you company. "In The Dark" was originally submitted for the lunar awards (S10/R5).
Story origins: My father had a horrible fear of being buried alive, and he passed that down to me. One night, that fear returned in a dream and the next day I wrote: "In the Dark".
I currently don't have any "ghost story" sci-fi, but I am returning to my "Space Freighter Libereco", with its crew, leaving the Core, and going back out on the Rim. I'll post a link when the topic is "Space ships" or "Small Crews" or "Erotica" (my stories have sex in them). Maybe next time.

Burial at sea is an old tradition. Burial in space . . . might not work out as smoothly.
